- Encylopedia by eLibrary - http://www.encyclopedia.com/ - set up online encyclopedias produced by reputable publishing companies such as Oxford House.

- The WWW Virtual Library -http://www.vlib.org/ The WWW Virtual Library (VL) is the oldest catalogue of the Web, started by Tim Berners-Lee, the creator of HTML and of the Web itself, in 1991 at CERN in Geneva. Unlike commercial catalogues, it is run by a loose confederation of volunteers, who compile pages of key links for particular areas in which they are expert; even though it isn't the biggest index of the Web, the VL pages are widely recognised as being amongst the highest-quality guides to particular sections of the Web.

- Gateway to Educational Materials - http://www.thegateway.org.The Gateway to Educational Materials is a Consortium effort to provide educators with quick and easy access to thousands of educational resources found on various federal, state, university, non-profit and commercial Internet sites. The Gateway contains a variety of educational resource types from activities and lesson plans to online projects to assessment items. Materials that are purposed for use in the classroom are appropriate for inclusion in The Gateway.

This site has an organized list of content sites for teachers in use in the
classroom. One section of the site provides online practice modules for popular
software such as Word, Inspiration, Excel, and HyperStduio and even operating
system modules for Macintosh and Windows. It also contains links to educational
news and grant opportunities. Susan Brooks and Bill Byles, two teachers, began
a collaborative effort to extend assistance to fellow teacher in 1997. In
November of 2000 that project expanded to a web presence known as
Internet4Classrooms (i4c).

It is updated daily and is organized in the following categories: subjects, teacher helps, tools, and featured sites. It is now sponsored by The Discovery Network
- RubiStar - http://rubistar.4teachers.org/. RubiStar is a tool to help the teacher who wants to use rubrics but does not have the time to develop them from scratch. RubiStar provides generic rubrics that can be customized, printed, and used for many typical projects and research assignments.
