The Cooperative Learning Center - http://www.co-operation.org/
- This the website is sponsored by the education department at the University of Minnesota where David and Roger Johnson are professors. "The Cooperative Learning Center is a Research and Training Center focusing on how students should interact with each other as they learn and the skills needed to interact effectively. We have reviewed more than 800 studies dating back to the late 1800's and have contributed more than 80 research studies of our own to clarify the issue of student to student interaction and learning. Our training includes instructors from pre-school through college in all subject areas. The training has concentrated on North America, but interest is growing around the world."
Significant Learning - http://www.designlearning.org/
- This website was developed by Dr. Dee Fink to share his theory and work in developing courses that provide significant learning experiences based on the Taxonomy of Significant Learning. You will find an overview of his work as well as examples of model courses that used this course design model. I have found this to be one of the most helpful resources about designing instruction that I have come across. I used it to transform my teaching.
- My course was selected by Dr. Fink to include as a model course. You can find it here: http://www.designlearning.org/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/Milligan-course_design_for_DBL_-rev.pdf

- I have found Team Based Learning to be a very effective teaching strategy. It was designed by Dr. Larry Michelsen for use with college and graduate students. This link contains to just about everything you need to know to use TBL.
- VARK -- A Guide to Learning Styles - http://www.vark-learn.com/english/index.asp This is an online learning preferences profile that is used by some TBL professors to assign groups.
